So much stuff so little time…

This past couple of months have gone by like a blink of an eye… I know i should be more dedicated to writing on my blog but by the end of the day my brain just stalls and i can barely remember to breathe let alone sit down and be productive… So here is a bit of a summary of these past few months…

October

Reina had her 4th birthday and we decided to keep things low key and only do a family thing… We went apple picking and had a blast. both kids love apples…a lot…

it took her like forever to blow out that candle

Reina’s School had a prehalloween, halloween party…with popcorn, cotton candy , ice cream, and great halloween games.

Then Halloween was here and gone… Reina was a pirate…yes a pirate…she didn’t want to be anything girly…her first choice was batman but there were no batman costumes left in her size…so she was a pirate…with a sword and everything…Aida was a pumpkin…we could not get her to take off her costume…she thought it was the best outfit in the universe…

We spent a lot of time at the playground trying to get as much playtime in as possible before it was too cold to go out and play for hours on end…

Reina started sunday school…it is a very small church that we go to… some days she is the only student in her class…she likes the personal attention though.

And then it was November…

Simon had his 35th birthday…we had peanut butter mousse cake and your traditional korean birthday meal…Mi yuk gook… bulgogi…rice…etc…

Then I made Kimchee…next time, which is pretty soon…i will have pics…

Thanksgiving came and went and i cooked… very low key cuz it was just us… missed the family and friends we have spent past thanksgivings with but oh well… there is always next year. We did take a family trip to the Providence children’s museum the day after …the kids had fun… we did too…

Turkey, green beans, stuffing and macaroni and cheese...we usually have a couple of other things too...but since it was just us this year

Well, I am sorry that i havent been too diligent about this blog… and I promise i will not let so much time go by before my next post.

to blog or not to blog…that is the question…

So it’s been a while since I posted anything… And I wonder if I should even keep blogging… Something to ponder

But just in case anyone is interested… The girls are 7 and 4 now and Aida will be starting kindergarten next fall… Trying to stay warm through the winter and things are busier than ever… Optimism abounds this year of the dragon and plans are in the works for future endeavors… Happy new year everyone!

Reina’s first real homework assign.

So I was a bad mother and forgot to charge our camera battery for Reina’s first day at school, which was Sept. 3. She was all ready and when i went to get the camera it wouldn’t turn on… I am a horrible, horrible mommy!

Well, it is almost 2 weeks later and she got her first homework assignment… it was to decorate two letters that will eventually be part of the alphabet train on the wall of her classroom. She had lots of fun doing her hw with daddy… I’m not sure how much fun daddy had… I think the jury is still out on that one… He tried really hard though…

This is fun!

This is fun!

I am concentrating.

I did it!

Aida and Reina both have been sick the past few days with a cold but Reina is almost all better…Aida is not. Which means she is cranky, needy , poopy and snotty. All of my favorites! We will try to survive this cold and get on with our week… I hope…

labor day 2008

Hello from RI! SO SORRY to post so slowly…I already got some slack from some folks about that… Well we took a day trip this past labor day and the kids had so much fun. Us grownups had fun to … it was nice to get away from the daily routine. We started the day with an hour drive down to Narragansett, RI and stopped at Point Judith Lighthouse ( its pretty much the most southern tip of RI ) just hung out before having lunch in an area called Galilee…was pretty good… i think we got caught up in the excitement of eating fresh seafood…we hadn’t had much of that in the midwest… anyways after lunch we took some time to hang out at the beach and Reina had mommy up to her but in ocean water ( i didn’t have my bathing suit, total mistake on my part) … We made an attempt to show Reina cool sand castle making techniques but she was only interested in burying daddy in the sand…Aida found that digging in one spot in the sand was the most fun of the day. All in all we spent the day as the typical American family of four in RI. Stay tuned for scenes from the next…… what???

” What are we looking at, sis?”

Daddy trying to get everyone in the picture

"What are you looking at, Aida?"

Are we having fun?

Watch me twirl, Mommy!

Happy Baby Aida
